McEuen Park

Construction update      April 25, 2013

Getting around downtown

Parking and traffic route maps now available!

Navigating downtown during construction can be tricky. Click here for a look at where to park and what streets are accessible.

Route maps also are available at City Hall and the Chamber of Commerce.

Construction status

Work on installing a retaining wall on the north side of Front Avenue continues. The wall should be completed in about a week. The purpose of the wall is to keep dirt away from the buildings on Front Avenue.

The mass grading operation of moving dirt from the Front Avenue area to McEuen Park is also nearly finished.

Access to businesses

Pedestrian access to businesses along Front Avenue between Third and Fourth streets has been restored.

Upcoming work

In the next few weeks, workers will begin the Third Street storm water installation. They will start at the intersection of Front Avenue and Third Street and work their way across Sherman Avenue to the alley between Sherman and Lakeside.

The fine grading on McEuen Park also begins next week.
