Coeur d’Alene Building Services Director Edward Wagner was elected President of the Board of the Idaho Association of Building Officials (IDABO) at their annual business meeting in Idaho Falls on January 31, 2012. The organization meets monthly by either teleconference or meetings located throughout Idaho.
The purpose of the organization is to support uniformity of building regulations at all levels of government, and to develop, maintain, and support consistency and enforcement of the International Codes and other related documents. They also sponsor, support, and participate in nationally recognized educational seminars and training programs for personnel and elected officials involved with the enforcement and administration of the International Codes. A voluntary Contractors Licensing Program is also available through IDABO for all contractors throughout the State.
Wagner’s election to this prestigious leadership position reflects his outstanding professionalism and reputation throughout the state as a Building Official, as evidenced by his receipt of Building Official of the Year honors in 2010.
