New ‘Star Trek’ Mission at Cd’A Library

       The latest crew of the Starship Enterprise begins its mission at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
“Star Trek: The Future Begins,” will be screened in the Community Room at the library, 702 E. Front Ave. Admission and popcorn are free. Sci-fi costumes are encouraged.
This version of the story – based on the television series create by Gene Roddenberry – was released in 2009 by Paramount Studios and was directed by J.J. Abrams. The cast includes Chris Pine as Capt. Kirk and Zachery Quinto as Spock. It has a running time of 127 minutes.
Film licensing and popcorn are provided by the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Foundation.
