Mudgy Moose and Millie Mouse, the title characters from "Mudgy & Millie" pose with author Susan Nipp and Terry Lee, who created the Mudgy & Millie bronze statues during the Birthday Party for the Mudgy & Millie Saturday, Sept. 12, at the library. Behind them, below, are some of the 372 people who turned out to help set a world's record for a read-in of a children's book. Saturday also marked the second anniversary of the opening of the new Coeur d'Alene Public Library. The library has been visited by more than 500,000 people since it opened in September 2007.
