“Mudgy and Millie” and the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Foundation have received an award from Idaho Tourism for their contribution to the state travel industry.The “Mudgy & Millie” bronze at the library.
The combination children’s book, public art program and walking trail – the brainchild of Coeur d’Alene children’s author Susan Nipp – will receive a “Take Pride in Idaho Award” in the “Outstanding Tourism Category” at the Conference on Recreation and Tourism May 7 in Sun Valley.
“The Library Foundation, the project sponsors, and all the people who worked to make the Mudgy and Millie project a success are very proud to receive this state recognition,” said Ruth Pratt, Foundation Executive Director.
“Providing yet another reason for families to visit Coeur d’Alene and enjoy our community was among the reasons the project had such a broad base of support.”
