You might recall that when the cemetery fence along Government Way was installed last fall, it was installed incorrectly. We required that the fence pickets be a minimum of two inches above grade. Most of the fence pickets were installed below grade, creating a persistent problem for us. The fence company acknowledged the mistake and said they would remove the fence and re-install it per our specifications. Winter came with more snow than anyone had expected and the work could not be completed in 2008. The cold weather added to the problem and the fence stood as it was throughout the winter.
Now that things are loosening up a little with the warmer weather, the fence company is back on site and correcting the installation problem. They will be removing the fence entirely along Government Way and re-installing. The fence on Lincoln Way was installed correctly originally.
